Free stock photos are an easy way to add interest to your website. There are many libraries with royalty free images for commercial use.

Here is a list of sites with free stock photos for business websites. There is a small collection stored on a large image search engine. Be sure to check the copyright of any content before using it.

 

Burst

Burst is a free product photography platform powered by Shopify. Its library includes thousands of high-quality, royalty-free images taken by a global team of photographers. The library is designed for Shopify stores, but the images can be used on any platform for free.

 

Unsplash

Unsplash started as a simple tool to provide images to creators. The site has 3 million images stored and an active community of nearly 300,000 photographers. Its API powers BuzzFeed, Squarespace, and Trello.

 

Canva

Canva is a visual content creation platform. The site has a free library of 1.7 million (and 86 million) photos, videos, graphics, audio tracks and more. –

 

Freerange

Freerange provides free images to 800,000 registered users. Images are licensed for general commercial use without attribution. Freerange has found thousands of vintage 35mm slides and offers the best, for free, in Vintage Stock Photos.

 

Picjumbo

Picjumbo is a free product photography site created in 2013 by designer and photographer Viktor Hanacek, who first sold products on Creative Market, a marketplace for community design resources. Browse popular tags or subscribe to Picjumbo’s newsletter to get free new photos delivered to your inbox. More than 8 million images have been downloaded from the site.

StockSnap

StockSnap selects the best images from the input pool and makes them available for browsing. New photographers are limited to submitting five images for high standards. Use StockSnap’s tag-based category system to find relevant items. Download is free.

 

Pexels

Pexels offers free stock photos licensed from Pexels. All images are tagged, searchable and easy to find from the discovery page.

 

Gratisography

Gratisography provides original images and comics for free. The site has only 700 to download and use for commercial purposes. But this image is unique – you won’t find it anywhere else on the web.

ISO Republic

ISO Republic offers over 6,500 royalty-free images under the Creative Commons license. Download for free, use for personal and commercial purposes, and edit or distribute without the need for permission or authentication.

 

Pixabay

 Pixabay is a community of creators who share over 2.6 million royalty-free images, illustrations, videos and music. All content is released under the Pixabay license, making it safe to use without attribution, even for commercial purposes.

 

Picography

Picography is a curated collection of approximately 1,300 high-resolution images licensed under Creative Commons. Browse or search by tag.

Kaboompics

Kaboompics offers over 26,000 free images and over 36 million downloads. The site includes a blog with helpful content on photography, digital marketing, email strategy and more.

Shot Stash

Shot Stash is a free stock photo site for creative professionals. It has a curated collection of 7,000 images available under an unrestricted Creative Commons license.

 

Skitter’s photo

Photographers from the Netherlands started Skitterphoto in 2014. The site allows photographers around the world to showcase and share their work. Browse by category, year, featured or admin options.

Negative Space

A negative space allows photographers to share their high-quality images with visitors for free. Categories include nature, animals, art and design, business, fashion, food, travel, literature, and virtual backgrounds.

 

LibreShot

LibreShot offers free photos for personal and commercial use without restrictions. Categories include business, architecture, nature, people, technology, and more. Photo by Martin Vorel, photographer and motorcyclist.

Startup Stock Photos

Startup Stock Photos is a free stock image library related to startup businesses. These photos focus on office scenes, laptops and smartphones, whiteboards and the city.

FreeImages

FreeImages was launched in February 2001 as an alternative to expensive stock photos. The idea is to create a site where designers can exchange photos for inspiration or work. The site has approximately 2.5 million registered users and 400,000 images.

Depositphotos

Depositphotos is a business platform that connects authors of licensed photos, graphics, vectors and videos with appreciative consumers. This site has an archived library of nearly 70,000 free files, which require authentication.

New Old Stock

New Old Stock is a library of photos and vintage collections – in black and white and color – from public archives. No copyright restrictions.
